The carrier's origins can be traced back to 1932 when Linious "Mac" McGee established McGee Airways in Anchorage, Alaska. Operating at first with just a single three-seater Stinson aircraft, the company primarily focused on offering flights for passengers and cargo transportation throughout the Alaskan region, starting with unscheduled service between Anchorage and Bristol Bay.
