Incorporated in 1929 under the name Inter-Island Airways Ltd, the original fleet was comprised of two eight-passenger Sikorsky S-38 amphibian planes. From those modest beginnings, they grew to be Hawaii’s biggest and longest-serving airline with more than 160 jet flights daily between the Hawaiian Islands and over 240 daily flights system wide.
